Automatic Detector Quality Control
We provide real-time automatic detector quality control for most of the available
detectors at the ING. We measure quantities such as bias level, readout noise, sky level and sigma, FWHM, and gain in optical and NIR detectors, and linearity in optical detectors. Information about the detector quality control system can be found in the
Automatic Detector Quality Control Manual (only available within ING).
We present a subset of these data below, organised by night, instrument and configuration, along with some trend graphs over different
timescales. Although most detectors have many different possible
combinations of readout speed and binning, we attempt to monitor
the most frequently used configurations (the quality control of the INT instruments can be also followed up at the WFC and IDS quality control web pages).
